The Milwaukee Brewers are clear favourites to win the 2026 World Series. They swept the Los Angeles Dodgers in four games in the NLCS, clinching with a 6–4 win at Dodger Stadium on 15 October, and now wait for the winner of the ALCS, where the Cleveland Guardians lead the Tampa Bay Rays 2–1 after a 3–2 win in Game 3.
Prices from 16 October 2026. Polymarket's "MLB World Series Champion 2026" has traded about $45 million. Live: Polymarket, Kalshi and the AL pennant market.
World Series odds 2026
| Team | Polymarket | Kalshi | American odds | Decimal odds |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Milwaukee Brewers | 65.3% | 65% | about −188 | 1.53 |
| Cleveland Guardians | 19.3% | 20% | about +410 | 5.1 |
| Tampa Bay Rays | 15.3% | 16% | about +540 | 6.4 |
The two platforms agree to within a point, which is typical for a big, liquid market late in the season. For the AL pennant itself, Polymarket has Cleveland at 62.5% and Tampa Bay at 37.7%.
What the market says about each matchup
You can back out the market's view of each possible World Series from these numbers. If Cleveland is 62.5% to win the pennant and 19.3% to win it all, the market gives the Guardians about 31% to beat Milwaukee once they get there (19.3 ÷ 62.5). Do the same for Tampa Bay (15.3 ÷ 37.7) and the Rays get about 41% against the Brewers.
So the market sees the Rays as the tougher World Series opponent for Milwaukee, even though the Guardians are more likely to get there:
| Possible World Series | Brewers win | Opponent wins |
|---|---|---|
| Brewers vs Guardians | about 69% | about 31% |
| Brewers vs Rays | about 59% | about 41% |
This is a handy technique for any bracket: divide a team's title price by its price to reach the final.
How to read World Series betting odds
A Brewers price of 65¢ means a 65% implied chance. Buy one contract at 65¢ and you collect $1 if Milwaukee wins, a profit of 35¢ before fees. A sportsbook would show the same chance as about −188 (stake $188 to win $100) or 1.53 in decimal odds. The full conversion table is in how to read Kalshi odds and Polymarket prices.
Two things are different from a sportsbook:
- You can sell before the end. If the Guardians go up 2–0 in the series, your Brewers contract loses value but you can sell it rather than wait.
- The cost is the spread plus a fee, not a built-in margin. On a market this busy the spread is usually a cent; fees are explained in Polymarket fees vs Kalshi fees.
Game-by-game and series markets
Beyond the champion market, both platforms list each game, series winners and exact series lengths, and prices update live during play. Kalshi lists baseball under "Pro Baseball" titles and lets you build parlays from several legs: can you parlay on Kalshi or Polymarket?
Live games move fast: spreads widen on every pitch, so a limit order protects you from paying more than you meant to; see what slippage means on Kalshi.
Is it legal to bet on the World Series on Kalshi or Polymarket?
Kalshi's sports contracts are available in most US states, with several states challenging them in court: is Kalshi legal in your state. Americans trade Polymarket through Polymarket US; the global site serves users outside the US.
